Does the Law of Attraction Take Action?

After another month long disappearing act I'm back with a question. Does attraction take action?

Yes.

Even though each situation and circumstance is dependent on how much action you need to take you need to set the wheel of the law of attraction into action first.

There are times when you don't need to take much action at all. You will be out going about you're errands or enjoying a day out and you run into someone you've been thinking about over the past couple of days who you haven't seen in a long time or something good will happen completely unexpected that you weren't expecting.

Though, looking at those events from a realistic standpoint none of that would have happened at all if you had not gotten out of bed that morning or didn't leave the house that day. You needed to do something to set the wheels of attraction into action and manifest the things you want. In this case it was the simple action of stepping out of the front door.

Those are the rare exceptions to the law of attraction when not much action is needed. Most times some level of moderate action will have to be taken on your part so you can manifest what it is that you want.

Someone in debt can sit in their home and visualize themselves being richer all day long, but if they aren't taking any action or any realistic steps to actually make themselves richer they will be broke and visualizing themselves richer on the curb as the repo-man loads their belongings into the truck.

An armored truck isn't going to show up in front of their house and deliver gold bricks to them.

Visualization is step of action itself but it is only mental preparation for getting what you desire.

You need to take action on what you desire or want from life. Once you take action you are showing the universe that you are ready to get or have what you want. When you take action resources begin to manifest, people come together, opportunities arise; you are a step closer to your goal than if you didn't take any action t all.

When you work towards getting what it is that you want the universe works with you to help you get what you want. You have set the wheels of attraction into action.

But you still have to act on opportunities, no one can take those opportunities for you but you. They may be able to take them away from you but you are the only one who can act on them.

I'm not aware of your current situation but here are some action steps for different scenarios of goals.

If you desire a better love life, get out and meet people. Just go places you normally like to go to. Like minded people are at these places too. In fact, you may have overlooked someone.

If you desire to have more money invest in stocks, save your money, get a better paying job, or start a business. If you're feeling really bold find get a mentor who has attained the financial level you want and learn from them how to reach your goal.

If you desire to get better health start a diet plan, get a membership to a gym, or simply eat healthier.

What's interesting is when you take action on what you desire or your main goal the attraction of action has a cross effect on your other goals. For example, joining a gym to get in shape can not only cause you loose weight but also cause you to meet someone and this person may even be able to assist you with your financial goals.

Its amazing what happens when we take action on the things we want. All sorts of things happen and manifestation is set into motion.

So get going and take action on what you want.

More next time.

Critics of 'The Secret' Bemoan Claims

I just came across an interesting news story on how critics of The Secret are countering counter arguments about what makers of the movie are saying about the Law of Attraction.

Critics say The Secret is over simplified and could be harmful to people with serious problems who take the advice given in the movie too literally about not having to take any or much action.

John Norcross, a psychologist and professor at the University of Scranton in Pennsylvania agrues, "'The Secret' has earned my antipathy for its outrageous, unproven assertions that I believe go beyond the ordinary overpromises of most self-help books into a danger realm."

Rhonda Byrne, maker of The Secret says, "The law of attraction says that like attracts like, and when you think and feel what you want to attract on the inside, the law will use people, circumstances and events to magnetize what you want to you, and magnetize you to it..."

In my mind, they are both right. I take the road that James Ray took on the issue saying, "You can watch 'The Secret' and come away with the illusion that you can sit around in your living room and visualize your millions dumping into your lap, and that's just not going to happen."

While visualization is a very useful and helpful way of getting what you want it is not the only thing required to get what you want. Some degree of action is required on your part because than the universe will respond accordingly to your taking action and put people, events and resources in front of you to use.

I'll make a post that explains why taking action is part of The Secret (or at least my secret) next time.

Applying The Secret: Money Part 4

Today we will wrap up our series Applying The Secret, finally. It has been a long time coming :)

Today we'll tackle the fourth myth: Money doesn't make you happy or all rich people are unhappy.

Now this myth is actually a half truth. Money helps make you happy, but in the end you make you happy. Money is just a vehicle or tool to getting the things which make you happy in life. Whatever makes you happy whether it's spending more time with your kids, or getting more time to relax, travel whatever makes you happy money can give present you the opportunity to gain more of it, but remember you have to make yourself happy.

Here's where the law of attraction applies to this myth. When you say "money doesn't make you happy", your sending a signal out to the universe and at the same time giving that thought energy (in this case negative energy) which internalizes conflicting feelings about money which than will prevent you from reaching you desired financial goals. Thoughts lead to feelings which actions (in this case no action) which lead to results. Negative energy will yield no results and just more negative energy.

People who amass a large fortune have the gift of time given to them. They are free from trading their time to make money. When they have all this time they then need to think what really makes them happy in life? Money just presents the gift of time and expands your life options. It's what you do with your life that makes you happy.

Now I want to make it clear that while material wealth doesn't make you permanently happy it is still important. Everyone deserves to have what they perceive to be nice things to better their standard of living. Whether it's buying latest Mercedes or Bentley sedan and a having sprawling mansion in Greenwich, CT and a summer home in the Hampton's. Or whether it's owning the latest Toyota or Chevrolet sedan and just having a modest single family home in the town you grew up in these extra material perks which more money allows us to buy are important in our lives as rewards. And while some people have a multi million dollar mindset others just have a mindset of supplementing their income.

That's fine, that's what's so great about the freedom money gives you not everyone wants the same thing. Not everyone has the same taste. Everyone wants different material kinds of houses, cars, furniture...

Secondly, some people think because rich people have more wealth than others and because money is only a tool to happiness they must be more unhappy than anyone else. That line of thinking has an underlying belief of rich people think dollar bill are instant tickets to happiness. That kind of thinking is based on conventional wisdom. The rich are no more unhappy or happy than any other class. You need to base someone's level of happiness not on their net worth but on an individual basis.

What this also does is it sets you up for financial disaster if you suddenly come into possession of more money than your used to having. A belief may pop into your head such as "all this money will make me unhappy" and you may even find ways subconsciously to get rid of it. Go through your beliefs and work through where they came from and why you have them.

Remember, what you believe you will achieve and thoughts lead to feelings which lead to action which leads to results. Money is an important tool to give you the time to do and have the things that make you happy.

Applying The Secret: Money Part 3

Today we'll take on money myth number 3. The only way to make a lot of money is by selling drugs, gambling or doing other illegal things.

Not everyone who has amassed a substantial amount of money has amassed it by doing something illegal. The truth is money can be made any number of ways. All it takes is one idea and inspired action. You can write a book on your passion or create a best selling album, or do anything else that can make money legally.

Instead of focusing on all the unethical and illegal ways some wealthy people made their money you need to focus on what service can you offer that will make the kind of money you want?

Until focus you on that question you won't begin to move forward and will not have a plan of action to follow. Remember what you focus on increases. If you focus on the negative you will get more of the negative. If you focus on the positive (moving forward toward accomplishing your financial goals) you will get more of the positive.

You should follow your passion and strength. Passion is one of the keys to happiness, health (mental) and wealth. Follow your passion and strength and turn it into a business. Everyone one of us has something of value to offer. Don't take yourself or what you know for granted, you can do more than you realize.

What also happens when you use your natural strength and follow your passion is your creative energy turns the "work" into play. Work does not feel like work when you follow you do what you love. Time fly's by, you have fun, you help people and get paid to do so.

The positive energy released from doing what you love pulls you and your dream closer together, it aligns you with what you want.

When you do this you are on your way to success and that is the ultimate goal. Follow your passion and succeed.
