Today I'm making a very special post to help others who are going through the loss of a loved work their way through the coping process better and hopefully come out with a different view about how to handle the coping process in the future.
Sunday I got word a close relative had passed away after battling with failing health and old age for a couple of years.
While I was expecting this news I didn't expect it so soon. Over the past week I've been coping with their passing and have accepted they are gone. But one thought helped me turn around my initial feelings of shock and then sorrow and turn those feelings into strength and even now closure. That thought was "honor their life by continuing to live yours and striving to reach your goals."
A day after I got the news I was in shock and I was walking around like a stoic shell. The morning process is believed to have eight stages. I'm sure I went through at least 3 or 4 in a couple of days. I shut down for a while and so did my business, at the time I didn't want to do much of anything. Until I that thought occurred to me. Life is meant to be lived.
Let me just say I'm not advocating going around with a stiff upper lip and pretending the loved one isn't gone. Denial will only cause more problems. It's O.K. to mourn and cry. Those feelings are normal and must be released because if they are kept bottled up they will come out in the form of negative energy in the future.
Everyone handles the process differently and it takes each person a different amount of time to go through it. Though, the mourning process shouldn't cripple you and bring your life to a stand still. Life must go on.
My relative led a very active life well into her old age and went on cruises, traveled around the world, and just generally acted younger than her actual age. She would appreciate a little mourning but wouldn't want my family to stop living their lives and spend weeks on end as sad drones. She would want us living our lives to their fullest, feeling good and just being happy.
The way we think about the passing of a loved one can all be changed by a shift in our mindset about the event. Instead of mourning over their loss you should celebrate not only their lives but also your life. Life is meant to be lived. A loss shouldn't be seen as a loss but as a rebirth, a rebirth of yourself. You come out on the other side of the mourning process a changed person with a different perspective.
So if your going through the mourning process it's okay to feel sad and to cry but don't be crippled by the feeling of loss. Continue to live your life. Live it better than before because life is meant to be lived to it's fullest in all aspects.
So make that phone call to that old friend, meet new people, spark up a romantic relationship, travel, go after your financial goals and just live life the way it was meant to be lived; to its fullest.
Go forward. We'll have more next time.

Thought of the Day
"Watch your thoughts, they become words. Watch your words, they become actions. Watch your actions, they become habits. Watch your habits, they become character. Watch your character, it becomes your destiny." Temet Nosce
Well have more next time.
P.S. My apologies to those who are keeping up with my series Applying The Secret: Money . I have been busy in the past week or so and have not had time to make an update here. I promise I'll post the conclusion soon.

The Dream
I normally don't write about my dreams but I had one recently that was worth writing about and is relevant to the content of this blog.
Plus it's good to write down dreams which are related to your goals in life because you not only send a signal out to the universe in the form of thoughts and feelings from your dream but you also add energy to attracting the dream by stating your intention to the universe in writing. What you focus on expands.
Back to the dream. I had a dream this week that was exactly on the level of my goals in terms of lifestyle and financial capabilities.
In my dream I lived in a neighborhood with big, old, beautiful mansions lining the streets. (A bit like the neighborhood I live in now.) All the cars on the streets were Rolls Royce's and Mercedes'.
The house I lived in was fabulous. A big white colonial mansion that had a gourmet kitchen and a great dining room with a sprawling polished table. Unfortunately, I can't remember what the other rooms looked like.
Now, I'm grateful for the great house I currently live in but this house in my dream was just a step above. It was my dream house.
When I woke up I drew what I could remember of the floor plan on a sheet of paper to make sure I didn't forget the layout.
As I did this I wondered, can dreams be as powerful or even more powerful than normal visualization?
Of course!
Many of my dreams are very vivid and realistic, much beyond the realism in visualization. The images in my dreams are crystal clear. I can hear, smell, feel and almost even taste food if I'm eating in a dream.
Dreams are a very powerful method to attract what you want because they seem like reality at the very moment you're having them. In fact, when I woke up from my wonderful dream I opened my eyes and saw my bedroom and wondered, "whose house is this and how did I get here?"
That's how real dreams can be.
When I do normal visualization I close my eyes, visualize already having whatever it is I desire and feel the good feelings of having it now. That attracts it to me.
Though, in the back of my mind I know it's just me visualizing already having it which pushes what I want away it away just a bit.
In dreams the subconscious mind seems to take over when you fall into a deep sleep, usually this happens during periods of REM sleep (rapid eye movement). The dreams you have during REM sleep are the most realistic and vivid. It's almost like virtual reality if not exactly like it.
The thoughts and feelings we have work their way into the subconscious mind and show up in our dreams in one form or another. When we have dreams about the things we want and dream we already have them we are 100% convinced that it is our reality because we don't realize we're in a state of REM sleep.
We don't have conflicting thoughts such as knowing it is a dream or anything else to distract our attention away from the dream. Which attracts what we want without resistance from our conscious mind. It even seems to attract what you desire faster.
Drawing up the floor plan for my house on paper was just the beginning of the process of manifestation. There's been an internal push to make it happen and I'm already coming up with ways to make it happen and acting on them. My drive has always been strong to achieve my goals but it just went up a bit.
I find this exciting because once this happens one can start to experiment with lucid dreaming. Lucid dreaming seems fascinating because we only know so much of what goes on up in our most powerful and energetic organ.
Once we harness the subconscious power to achieve our desired goal we can program ourselves to achieve it. Maybe the way to manifest the things we want from life will even come to us in a dream and you will take inspired action on it. Who knows, anything is possible with the law of attraction and process of manifestation.
To sweet dreams,
We'll have more next time.

Overcoming Adversity
I've been meaning to write about an inspiring segment I saw on the Today Show Friday.
The segment was about the first blind person to reach the summit of Mount Everest, Erik Weihenmayer.
You can watch the segment here.
Erik and Paul Stoltz wrote a new book about the expeirence which explains how to use adversity to your advantage. The book is titled, "The Adversity Advantage: Turning Everyday Struggles into Everyday Greatness."
Using adversity to your advantage is an interesting concept and one theme I've heard some amazing success stories from. It's a topic I plan to write about in the future so be on the look out for that.
Defy impossibilities.

Applying The Secret: Money Part 3
Today we'll take on money myth number 3. The only way to make a lot of money is by selling drugs, gambling or doing other illegal things.
Not everyone who has amassed a substantial amount of money has amassed it by doing something illegal. The truth is money can be made any number of ways. All it takes is one idea and inspired action. You can write a book on your passion or create a best selling album, or do anything else that can make money legally.
Instead of focusing on all the unethical and illegal ways some wealthy people made their money you need to focus on what service can you offer that will make the kind of money you want?
Until focus you on that question you won't begin to move forward and will not have a plan of action to follow. Remember what you focus on increases. If you focus on the negative you will get more of the negative. If you focus on the positive (moving forward toward accomplishing your financial goals) you will get more of the positive.
You should follow your passion and strength. Passion is one of the keys to happiness, health (mental) and wealth. Follow your passion and strength and turn it into a business. Everyone one of us has something of value to offer. Don't take yourself or what you know for granted, you can do more than you realize.
What also happens when you use your natural strength and follow your passion is your creative energy turns the "work" into play. Work does not feel like work when you follow you do what you love. Time fly's by, you have fun, you help people and get paid to do so.
The positive energy released from doing what you love pulls you and your dream closer together, it aligns you with what you want.
When you do this you are on your way to success and that is the ultimate goal. Follow your passion and succeed.

Moving Forward with Gratitude
We'll continue with our mini-series on applying The Secret to attract more wealth soon but I want to pass along a quote from Joe Vitale's blog which struck me.
Gratitude or being grateful is one of the keys to getting what you want. When you realize what you have no matter how big or small or what it is you gather strength to attract and get what you want or more of what you want.
I don't know you personally but you could be grateful for having your health, or your family or anything else. Everyone has something to be grateful for.
"If you woke up this morning with more health than illness, you are more blessed than the million who will not survive the week.
If you have food in your refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof over your head and a place to sleep, you are richer than 75% of this world.
If you have money in the bank or in your wallet, you are among the top 8% of the world’s wealthy.
If you hold up your head with a smile on your face and are truly thankful, you are blessed because the majority can, but most do not.”
Author Unknown"
That's empowering because you have more than you think you have. And with those feelings of empowerment comes one of the keys to move forward toward your goal.
Move forward with gratitude.
I'll be back with our mini-series Applying the Secret next time.

Applying The Secret: Money Part 2
A new year and a new post. Today we'll tackle money myth number 2. Rich people are snobby, greedy and just plain mean!
It's ridiculous to think wealthy people are more greedy and snobby or mean just because they have more money than everyone else. Money doesn't make you more anything, you just become more of what you already are. If you're nice you'll be nicer. If you're a jerk you'll become more of a jerk.
The only thing money can change about you is your bank account. That's it. You'll still be the same person with 1 dollar or 1 billion dollars.
People can be snobby, mean and greedy if they are rich, middle class or even poor. There's all kinds of people with all kinds of net worths and personalities. Making having negative beliefs about wealth is a surefire way to ensure you won't achieve whatever level of financial success you seek.
Why this is so is because you'll want more money, but have a conflicting thought such as "People with lots of money are all snobs. I don't want to be snobby like all of them." Maybe someone thinks this because they had a bad expeirence with someone who they thought was wealthy (that person may or may not have been wealthy) and suddenly they decide everyone who was like that individual is snobby, greedy, mean... whatever.
A recent study shows households that make more than $200,000 or have a net worth of 1 million dollars or more more likely to give money than other classes. This is only logical. The more money you have the money you can give away. Does every single person of this demographic make donations regularly to charities. No. All they all like that. No.
Here's some surprising characteristics of the average millionaire according to the book The Millionaire Next Door:
"*More than 80% are ordinary people who have accumulated their wealth in one generation. They did it slowly, steadily, without signing a multi-million dollar contract with the Yankees..."
* Fewer than 20% inherited more than 10% of their wealth, and more than half never received a penny of inheritance.
* They "wear inexpensive suits and drive American-made cars. Only a minority... drive the current-model-year automobile." (Warren Buffet, billionaire and one of the world's wealthiest individuals, drives a six year old Lincoln Town Car. The founder of IKEA drives a Volvo from the late 80's and sometimes even takes the bus.)
* About half have lived in their current home for 20 years or more. (Again Warren Buffet has never moved out of his childhood home in Nebraska.)
* 80% are college grads, and 38% have advanced degrees.
* 20% are retired. Of those still working, about two-thirds are self-employed -- mostly entrepreneurs, but also self-employed professionals, such as doctors and accountants.
* On average, they invest nearly 20% of their household realized income each year."
People's notions of the wealthy also come from mass media. TV and movie portrayal of the wealthy are often based on stereotypes to make the plot more interesting. When was the last time you saw a wealthy person portrayed in a positive way in a movie or TV show?
They are often portrayed as soulless people who are vapid and extremely greedy pitted in a battle against everyone else. Rarely do you see them portrayed as an actual human being with feelings. Yet, the wealthy are part of the human species as far as I know.
There are wealthy people who are snobs but snobbery is just a false facade to hide one's true personality, it is a defensive mechanism much like arrogance. Again not all wealthy people fit the mass media stereotype of being snobby, mean and greedy.
If you find you have negative connotations about wealth reflect on why you have them. Go through each belief in a non-judgmental, loving way and ask yourself, "why do I believe that?" Search for the source of that belief and reflect on its meaning to work it out in a logical manner.
So there you have it, there are all sorts of people from all sorts of backgrounds. Just remember thoughts lead to feelings which lead to action which leads to results.

Applying The Secret: Money
Before I start I want to say that I am not a financial planner and am just writing this as a suggestion to change your thinking about money if you find your finances aren't what you'd like them to be. This way of thinking has worked for me to attract more money into my life, but the amount of money you attract and manifest will vary.
With that said money is something we all could use more of. Though, most people focus on how much money they don't have and that's the thing which limits us from how much money we could have because when you are focusing on lack, worrying about lack or thinking of lack you are in turn creating more lack. What you focus on expands.
You need to think of attracting more money into your life by focusing on getting more and having more money now. So, how do you attract more of the green stuff into your life? First get clear of limiting beliefs about money.
Why you need to get clear of your current beliefs about money is because if you don't any money you do get will be repelled or you will subconsciously get rid of it because you haven't cleared you beliefs. You will not have the proper money mindset to keep and grow your money.
Here's some common money misconceptions which limit people:
1. It's hard to make a lot of money.
2. Rich people are snobby and greedy.
3. The only way to make a lot of money is by selling drugs, gambling or doing other illegal things.
4. Rich people are unhappy or money doesn't make you happy.
I could go on and on but I'll just tackle the above misconceptions for now.
1. It's hard to make a lot of money.
Yes and no. Yes it's easy to make money but at the same time you need to align yourself with the goal and find the right vehicle to make money. I just said it's easy to make a lot of money.
I can hear someone complaining about me partially disagreeing with that belief saying, "Now if it were so easy to make a lot of money why isn't everyone a millionaire?"
Here's why, most don't have the mindset to become one. Most people go around thinking they will never reach their financial dreams so why even try. Or they think because it's so hard to make the kind of money they want why even try.
Frankly, that's sad. This kind of thinking places mental roadblocks in your way to success and keep you from coming up with ideas to take action on. The universe will respond to whatever idea you send out. So if you think it's hard to make money then it will be for you, if you think it's easy then it will be.
Here's one reason why I say it's easy to make money, you have a money maker right in between you ears. The secret to your financial success is in your head. Your mind is your greatest asset to achieving anything you want. Ideas turned into action will make money. We only need to look to the process of manifestation for evidence: thoughts lead to feelings which lead to actions (or no action) which lead to results (or no results). This is what most millionaires of our century know.
When you clear your subconscious mind of the limiting belief that it's hard to make money you clear the path to come up with money making ideas easily and naturally.
Remember, ideas put into action equal money. If an idea pops into your head, take action. Money likes speed. Don't hesitate, wonder, worry, just take inspired action and you will get results. If you don't get any results, fine. Act on another inspired thought.
Here's one to get you thinking. If you wrote a book on a hot topic and sold many copies you can generate a fair bit of cash.
Once you start thinking on this level you wonder how am I going to do that? After a few days you'll come with a plan of action. The key step to attracting money is to act on your plan and follow through to the very last step.
Now here's where I partially agree with the belief it's hard to make money. Not everyone can get their idea into motion or knows people who would be willing to invest in their idea and turn it into a reality.
Not everyone is the friend of the rich and influential. Everyone doesn't know someone who can make things happen.
But thankfully you have your own network of friends and they have their own network of friends and on and on it goes. In a sense we are all interconnected by just seven degrees of separation (and the gap is closing as technology progresses). One of the keys to attracting more money is expanding your network.
It's not as easy as it sounds but it can be done and your script for a movie can very well end up in the hands of the head of a major movie studio through networking. Even though you may not know someone who can get your idea into motion a friend of a friend may. Two people can accomplish more than one can by themselves.
Though once you are ready to go forward you may fail to take action because of fear, confusion or limiting beliefs/misconceptions having more money which means most people fail to act on their ideas.
Or you may think the process of making money is hard and tedious. If you think that then it will be. Instead think of creating the exact level of financial success as a game, an exciting venture you are embarking upon. It doesn't have to be hard and tedious. It can be fun and exciting.
Check your limiting beliefs as they occur while you can take action and ask yourself why you have them. Your answers just may surprise you and you'll clear the way for bigger and better things by answering them.
We'll tackle the next two misconceptions next time.
With that said money is something we all could use more of. Though, most people focus on how much money they don't have and that's the thing which limits us from how much money we could have because when you are focusing on lack, worrying about lack or thinking of lack you are in turn creating more lack.

The Law of Attraction
I'm sure some of my reader's are a bit confused by The Law of Attraction and other universal laws. It is really quite simple and logical and believe it or not can be explained by Quantum Physics.
Physics?
I know that word conjures up memories of high school sitting in physics class where your teacher is lecturing on and on about something you barely understand. Thankfully we won't have a lecture on Quantum Physics; I'll leave that up to Stephen Hawking.
Put simply, the Law of Attraction states like attracts like. You've probably had some exposure to this law, when people refer to the Law of Attraction at work in someone's love life. The notion of people attracting other people may seem "out there" to some, but it is very simple and logical.
Think about your friends, boyfriend, girlfriend, husband, wife, partner... These people are most likely similar to you in personality characteristics, tastes, beliefs etc... They are like minded. You attract people like you. That's only logical.
Here's where it starts getting complicated. These people are attracted to your energy or vibes you give out. If you are giving off negative vibes or energy you attract other people with negative energy and at the same time you repeal people with positive energy.
If you are someone with a positive personality would you stick around someone with depression? You might try to cheer them up, but if that fails your most likely to get away from them. They drain you of your energy if you stick around them very long. It all has to do with energy. We are giving it off all the time whether we realize it or not. If you took a Thermo Dynamic camera and took a picture of yourself you would see you are giving off energy in the form of heat. You are also giving off energy in the form of what you feel.
One of the laws of Physics is "everything is energy". The first time I learned this back in middle school I was surprised; I couldn't conceive solid objects were made of atoms, which gave off energy at varying frequencies. The physical world around us appears solid, it feels solid but it is actually made up of tiny vibrating atoms.
Since everything is energy, you are not only attracted to people and they to you, but you are also attracted to objects. These objects are attracted to you also since they are made of energy because they are giving off varying frequencies. If you get your frequencies to match with the frequencies of the things you want you and whatever you desire start to attract each other.
And if you realize this you can start to reshape the world you live in and change your life by attracting money, houses, cars, boats, planes, anything and everything you can think of. It's all energy. And it all starts with putting the Law of Attraction into action through your thoughts and feelings.
We'll have more on that next time.

Are You Living Life Unconsciously?
It seems many people are unaware they can control their own lives and have the power to have, do be, anything they want. Or they have control over their lives but something or somebody won’t let them; in other words this means they aren’t really getting the fact that they do have control over their life, not anything or anyone else.
Where you are now in life is a direct result of you and your beliefs about life. I have a little secret to share with you, what you think and believe determines your success and growth throughout life. If you don’t think you’re in direct control of your life than you aren’t, if you do think you are in control of your life than you are.
Just like you are what you eat, you are what you think and believe. Other people will have control over your life if you think you’re not in constant and complete control of your life every moment you are alive. Your boss, employees, spouse, kids, relatives, friends, the government: whoever or whatever you think and believe is control of your life will continue to be control your life if you think that. Until you consciously change that belief you will never be in control of your life.
This is a not so secret secret; it’s uncommon common sense. Yet so many people are going through life unconsciously and do what everyone else is doing and continue to think they are not in control of their lives. They are just living what is day to day without stopping and thinking about why they are living what is. Is it any wonder why so many people are unhappy and unfulfilled these days? Don’t live unconsciously, take the reigns of your life into your hands and steer your life in the direction you want it to head in. Thinking you have no control over your life is like thinking you have no control over a car while driving it.
If you still don’t think you complete control over your life just think back to this morning. You most likely got out of bed to do your daily activities or go to work. You have the choice to get out of bed or stay in bed all day. You have a choice to go to work or not go to work. You have the choice to do everything you do throughout the entire day. No one else makes these choices for you. They can certainly recommend you do something, but you ultimately have the power of choice in your hands. If you find yourself getting mad at your boss because of something he did or said, you made the choice to go to work. You also made the choice to earn your income by working for someone else. No one else made this choice for you but you.
That’s fine; no one told you it doesn’t have to be this way, until now.
It can be another way; your life can be the exact way you want it to be. This is the secret of life most people don’t know about, they aren’t aware of this simple universal fact. If you’re not happy with your life circumstances, know and believe you can change those circumstances. You are the creator of your own life. You will change them if you change your focus from “I have no control over my life” to saying “I control my life and everything and everyone in it.” Once you say or think that you focus begins to shift. What you focus on expands, and you get more of the same of what you focus your energy on. The control in your life will increase if you focus on the belief “I control my life.“ It all starts with awareness.
If you think you’re in complete control of your life you start to believe it after a few days. Then you start thinking of the things you want from life. What kind of people you want to be surrounded by, what kind of car you want to drive, the house you want to live in, the things you would rather do on a daily routine. After asking those questions to yourself you become attracted to the things and people you want and they in turn become attracted to you. This is because of the Law of Attraction, another universal law that controls our lives.
The Law of Attraction simply states like attracts like. People who know they are in control of their lives are attracted to and surround themselves with others who know they are also in control of their lives. In turn the Law of Attraction also works for people who don’t think or aren’t aware they can control their lives and they will only get more of the same results they always got until they change their belief to “I control my life, no one else.”
You are in control of your life and you can change your life. I know that; I believe you can. Do you know believe you can? Whether you think you can or you think you can’t, you’re right. Which belief will you make?

Daily Insight Returns!
My apologies to all my readers, the past couple of months have been a whirlwind of activity. My online businesses needed my attention this summer as well the attention I need give my family, not to mention the month long vacation I took to relax for a while. Though, during my vacation I saw a movie, which literally changed my outlook on everything in life from wealth to health to love, everything.
The movie has been very inspirational and has helped me in many ways achieve and continue to achieve my goals. That movie was The Secret.
It is all about the Laws of Attraction and the Power of Manifestation with featuring some of the most enlightened thinkers of the modern era such as Joe Vitale, Bob Proctor, Jack Canfield and many others; I had known some things about the Laws of Attraction but not in as much detail as The Secret goes into.
Now it does cost $4.95 to view the movie at the official website, but if you are unsure about that just go to YouTube.com and search for "The Secret." There are a few clips on there from the movie.
No, I'm not an affiliated sale person for The Secret; I'm just trying to spread the word about an amazing, inspirational movie. It's more important to me that you view the clips at YouTube and understand what is being revealed to you, rather than buying the movie. Especially, if you think you cannot change your life. If you buy it, great! If you choose not to or don't have the money to, just view the clips and process the information. You'll thank yourself later.
The things I learned from that movie were literally life changing and I quickly found myself recommending the movie to almost everyone I knew and it also led me to scour the internet and bookstores for more information.
It doesn't matter who you are, what age, race, sex you are, or what part of the world you live. Everyone must see this movie and understand its universal message; I cannot say enough good things about it.
So, Daily Insight is back with a new look and new material! Again, I hope you can forgive me for my long absence and I hope you will make the decision to view the clips from the movie. My future post will be concentrate on the Laws of Attraction and the Power of Manifestation.
We’ll be back with more.

Graduating from College in Three Semesters: One Man's Story
Steve Pavilina accomplished the incredible (some may even say the impossible) during his college years- he managed to graduate from college in only 3 semesters. Not only did he graduate in that incredible amount of time, he graduated with two degrees. He even managed to not get overly stressed and even held down a part time job.
How he did this through connecting with his "purpose" and "mission." You can read the rest of his amazing story at his blog.

Controllable Anger
“If you are patient in one moment of anger, you will escape a hundred days of sorrow. Regret and guilt can take up and literally waste hundreds of hours of your time; self-discipline only takes a few seconds. An ounce of “bite-my-tongue” outweighs a ton of “I am-so-sorries.” One test of our size and maturity is what makes us angry —and how we express our anger.
A boiling temper can escalate into an argument or a shouting match where both parties walk away having accomplish nothing and feeling worse. Like any other emotion, anger has a toxic way of infecting others directly or indirectly. It’s unrealistic to try to be pleasant every second of the day but whenever you feel like your on the verge of getting angry, stop and ask yourself two questions: Is this really worth getting angry about and will I still be angry about this 6 months from now?
If you answer "no" to both of those questions you shouldn’t get angry. Though, if you answer, “yes” you need to do something also- use your words rather than your voice. State exactly how you're feeling in a direct, non-emotional way. People will listen to you more readily than if you are shouting at them.
Another way to diffuse anger is to gain a new perspective on the events that upset you by reminding yourself everything happens for a reason and that reason is for me to learn from the event.

Healthy Selfishness?
Healthy?
Apparently, according to Dr. Rachael and Richard Heller who wrote the New York Times Bestseller Healthy Selfishness: Getting the Life You Deserve Without the Guilt. The authors ask readers the intriguing and somewhat surprising question “are you too good for your own good?”
You may be asking yourself “but, isn’t selfishness a bad thing? Only narcissistic people are selfish.” Being selfish, in a mentally beneficial way, will actually make you a more giving, happier and caring person. According to the authors the main concepts of healthy selfishness is “to respect your needs and feelings, even if others do not. Especially if others do not.”
You can read the first two chapter of their book at www.healthyselfishness.com

Clean Your House Without all the Grunt Work.
Believe it or not some people still haven't gotten around to Spring cleaning and getting their house ready for Summer. It's better do the cleaning now rather than be stuck inside in July while everyone else is out having their Summer fun.
Shaking out the rugs and dusting off your furniture aren’t the most exciting things to be do when the weather is starting to get nice but here’s a few tips to get the job done once and for all.
-Put everything in a bucket that you’ll need such as dusting rags, furniture polish, all purpose glass cleaner, paper towels, etc…
-Tabletop items such as books, pictures, and other decorative items should be cleared from a surface before dusting. If you find many items crowded on one surface you’ll want to display them around the room or put them in other rooms throughout your home.
-Dust off your furniture first before vacuuming. Wiping dust onto your clean floors will only make the task longer.
-Open the windows to allow the fresh air in and cleaning fumes/dust out.
-Get rid of everything and anything you don’t use any longer. Sell all these things either on ebay or in a yard sale. Throw away items, which aren’t “sales worthy”, just be careful one person’s trash is another person’s treasure. If you come across anything you think may be a valuable, set it aside and get it appraised/ research asap. You never know until you find out.
-Clear away clutter. Clutter seems to attract the most dust, once you go through them you will have made future cleaning tasks easier because there is less dust in the house. It is also important to minimize dust as much as possible for asthma suffers.
-If you hate cleaning and find yourself grumbling put on your favorite radio station or play some music to get back in the swing of things.
You can find a litany of information about cleaning as well as a cleaning checklist at marthastewart.com.
