"It happened to me years ago.

I can still see myself standing in the most gorgeous banking office I ever had. It was 7:00 am, I was looking out at the derelict Ritz Hotel across the street where the patrons, most of them on welfare, were still sleeping and I envied them. The fact that they were on welfare didn't matter; I envied them. I envied their freedom. They were free from the rat race and the frenzy of the corporate treadmill I was on.
